Posted - 22 Jan 2011 : 8:23:01 PM I recently realised that a racer was off work for 12 months because of a crash. His hope being revolved around bike racing and the people there. I have now encouraged him to come to a race meeting and help run the event and he would at least get a chance to catch up with blokes on Sat. night. I have since put the idea to my HMRAV committee for consideration and I am now asking if others would help us to get something happening, if there is support for the idea. Nmaes of people we could assist would be welcome. Thanks |

It is a sound idea and I'm sure most would support it, more detail would be helpful - for example do you have a race meeting in mind? What kind of help is needed - does this fellow need picked up and dropped home for example? Helped to get around while at the track? Some costs covered?? |
