I've been passionate about motorcycle racing all my life. Recently I've started watching the Tour De France. It's a lot slower but the tactics are similarly interesting. A couple of years ago I encountered an old push bike racer on an historic bike at Winton. He got into racing motorcycles at a much older age than most of us. However he is an excellent rider than many, and very tough customer. The Tour will be on TV in the coming week. I'll be watching it, and I hope some of you will too. It's much better viewing than that dumb footy that gets so much promotion throughout Australia!
