In Vic we havea Sidecar promotion committee.
It would be great to have interstate people on board to help spread the word.

I am hoping Alan Warner and Geoff will come on board, can somebody hassle them please?
Thsi is a thought we are circulating for comment;
Do this points need consideration within the GCR's;

Allow two strokes in moderns
Establish Period 6 Historic sidecars
Permit Centre hub steering in period 5 at least and P6 if possible.

It's good to see a special interest group start up in motorcycling. The car racing world is full of them. I don't know why anyone would race an HQ Holden, but the enthusiasts have got their series going, and the cars performing well. Same with Formula Ford. Same with Australian GT. Same with Formula Vee. Same with Group N historic sedans. If you can organise your SIG members to get a substantially full grid for races, you'll get yourselves included in event programmes.

That OK Al. Is there somebody else in WA keen as mustard to get involved. We dont intend being political etc, just into promotion.

John, you may or may not be aware but I am still on the Historic Road Race Commission and as part of our responsibilities we are not allowed to comment publically about various issues which is why I have been very careful with my limited contribution to this site. Any public statements I make regarding pl;icy or potential rule changes would need the approval of MA. I would love to help and will where I can but I should and will not not get involved in anything that will end up being presented to MA or the Historic Commission as I will obviously have a conflict of interest.
If I can assist with promotion etc here in WA feel free to ask and along with GD who is a regular to this site we will ensure that all information is passed on to the relevant people.
I hope the above statement is not going to be used as a political tool by one or two contentious people that contribute to this site.
