Does anyone remember the Yamaha GL750? The most wanted but never had motorcycle in history? I have often dreamed of bulding one from TZ750 parts, RD400LC parts or just plain dreams. Yes of course it is mostly dreams but if anyone has anything to share about this bike I would be interested in hearing (reading)it. I know the first time I saw it was in a motorcycle magazine coverage of the Tokyo motor show. I still have the magazine with a picture of the GL750 on the cover. I was a riding a RD350 at the time and started saving my mopney for what I was sure would be the ultimate motorcycle. Of course it turned out to be the ultimate in unobtainium! What a downer that was but it still burns in my memory as the one that got away! Then there was the rotory ****el Yamaha, another tease from Yamaha. Send and tell me about your brush with the ultimate two stroke road bike!
