We have a gentleman who is wishing to enter a classic sidecar for the May 12 & 13 Seniors meeting at Mac Park but who cannot find a passenger.
He rides a 750 Triumph and has raced sidecars for the past 50years. He also pointed out that he has not injured a passenger in all that time!
If you can help, or pass this on to someone who might it would be greatly appreciated. Let us know by emailing sidecars@classicmotorcycling.com.au
Thanks Geoff Sidecar #30

Does the passenger need to be over a certain age?

Ahhh yes, I did omit that small detail.
Said passenger is required to have passed their 45th birthday. |

Unfortunately you have been provided with incorrect information.
All participants have to be 'old'!!!
But thanks for the trying to help.

Onya Mick, nothing like touring through the countryside smelling the daisies (and knocking the tops off em with yer head)
I'm filling in as sandbag on #21 this weekend at Collie here in the west (they finally got it passed for racing, great effort from all) hoping I can help Alan get a good result for round 1
good luck at the old farts, IMHO the best meeting anywhere |
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we may as well dance |

I'm happy to say I'm not old enough to do it, I have never been there, but was at Mallala last weekend.

Dunno about lobster Mick but you will get good company, a few laughs and quite likely a glass of red. What ever happens you are in for a good time. We enjoy our remoteness over here (keeps you lot away) but miss out on the easy travel to events like this. Enjoy

No, I can't guarantee the lobster (that is Stretch's department) but anyone is always welcome to join the crew at 'the bus' and yes, Alan has me sussed, there is almost always a glass of red involved... Geoff Sidecar #30 |

geezas,4th corner,1st lap,im gunna throw up in my helmet for sure! i'm hanging over the back wheel,g forces are trying to throw me out,750cc of Triumph is bellowing on full noise 6" from my face, the tracks flashing past my eyes about another 2" from the pipes, what am i doing here!!,if the 2nd laps the same i'm tapping Jim on the shoulder,& pointing out i wannna go home & lie in a dark room for a while!!,welcome to the bloody dark side,my bum!!,but thinking hey,Jim said he was going to go easy for the 1st practice session,(like it gets worse??),so i didn't throw up,sorted out some ear plugs, didn't look vertically down at the track,& Jim certainly got progressivly smoother,i got my timing sorta right,(move only when gear changing?),P3 scratch was o/k,just outrun the "diesels"(Jim's word) for 2 laps then "cruise",things got exciting in the all in h/caps,(more carrots thinks Jim)!!,4-5 laps of terror instead of 2,just don't look at the long pointy things trying to pass/climb over me in the corners, whistling past down the straights, what fun,i got bruises where i thought was impossible, but hey it was all good fun, cheers all |

Hey Mick, you looked good out there. Some of you will know that the green beast refused to play the game at the Mac Park so I got to watch you playing. It was good to watch. OK, I missed that first practice but on Sunday nobody would have known you were a newby! Maybe you'd like to come out and have some fun on a two stroke one day! Cheers Geoff Sidecar #30 |
