Hello all in sidecar land, After 12 months of doing some work - spanners, media and the occassional swing with Bondy (Vic 07) the professor and I would dearly love to have a go at this sidercar racing. Now I'm hoping that there might be 1 or 2 of you out there that have a sidecar sitting in a shed or know of someone that has one which could be for sale. We would prefer an outfit that is race or nearly race ready, 750/4 powered (as Bondy has bought half of Australias supply of honda bits). We are not looking for a championship winning outfit (well that could change) but just want to get out there amongst you guys and have some serious fun. Greatful for any assistance.
Cheers Brett

There are a couple of possibilities here in the west, will try to get some contact info on the weekend. |
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we may as well dance |

Try Alan Kidd, dont know how you get hold of him but he was an Historic Road Race Commissioner a few years back based in Vic (of all places) and did have an outfit that I tried to buy but he wouldnt reply to my emails. John Daley may know how to get hold of him or maybe John would sell you one of his fleet. The ones in WA that Popeye mentioned are not in use but are of the kind that people wont sell, we have tried many times each year to bring them out or to place them but the owners wont budge, maybe one day. Good luck and enjoy.

Ring Ben Needham he is wondering whether to sell. I hope he does not decide to but, if he does waver be there to ask. Mine are not for sale but only a loan at the moment. We are stillo looking at buiding some frames and we are still working on it, the welder has retired. |

Thanks guys for the info. Will get onto Ben and see what he has to say, would be a shame if he sold up though. Apparently Doug has a frame in Wodonga which we might check out on the Winton Weekend. Speaking of which anyone going to Winton for the historics? |

Brett, are you still chasing an outfit? There was one in the last "Just Bikes" mag, down on the Mornington Peninsula, he wants $5000 for it, complete, but needs finishing. Its a P4 unit with a few spares. Let me know and I'll send you the details. Cheers, Tony (Peen & Buck). |

Hey Peen,
Thanks for that mate but we already found one up near Wagga. Will be picking it up in the next few weeks or so. It has been raced before and the pics look real good, can't wait. Brett |

Great stuff Brett. When are you planning on starting? We hope to have a go at the Maldon Hill Climb. Cheers, Tony (Buck & Peen) |
