Well, the Pink Pig got its first taste of racing at Broadford over the weekend. We improved our times well and truly over the two days, but not to the extent that we are a threat to anyone!
If thrills, fun and excitement are the name of the game, then we are compelete winners.
HMRAV, Braodford complex, and MV must be very pleased with thmeselves for having organised a very successful event, thank you.
While we had a completely hassle free event, some didn't fair so well. Geoff Grant tried his darndest but couldn't find that elusive spark, Peg blew a motor but still got a third, and Bondy & Bretta tasted the new tar, fortunately able to hobble away in the end. John and Chrissy Clancy continued to be the absolutely fantasic generous gentleman/woman as always.
To all of you in the three wheel brigade, thank you for your advice, support, and friendship. We had the most fantastic weekend imaginable, mostly due to your input.
I was very impressed by the Marshals waving and encourganment toward us, as well as the occasional friendly one or two fingered wave from many of our competitors!! All good fun.
We are now hooked, and confirmed devotees of this wonderful sport.
Winton next, bring it on!!
Buck & Peen (The Pink Pig, #20).
