Hi guys, im new to your site.
I have an 83 RG350 Yamagamma & am in desperate need of Tyre assistance.
I have a 100/90 16 Front & a 110/90 18 rear ,but can use a 110/80 Rear.
I have let the rego lapse on the bike & am only using it for Trackdays now.
What tyres can i get in these sizes that are sticky?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jay, that front wheel size makes it hard.
Pirelli do a Sport Demon in your sizes but I don't know much about them.
What do you currently have?
Might be worth contacting Whites Racing Products, they are N.S.W. based but I don't think Bridgestone do a suitable 16".

Thanks John. I have emailed Craig & will see what he can come up with.
Seems to be the case with the rim sizes.
I am spoilt for choice for rear tyres & cant find anything decent in a front.
What do the guys run on these when they race them? There has to be something out there.

Jay, most capacity classes have to run 18" rims.
Only the P5 unlimiteds can run 16" but I don't know if anyone does.
I imagine 17" would be the size of choice as there is a good selection of tyres available.
I will ask around.
Could you fit a 17" wheel?

Hi John.
It makes sense that nobody runs the 16....Mission impossible for tyres.
I have found 2 possible tyres. Pirelli Sport Demon & Sava MC25
Apparently the Sava is quite sticky. A mate runs one on his Motard & assures me it is quite good.
I already have at home a RGV complete front & rear ends to graft onto it.
The front is an easy bolt up to knock over, but then i would be running a 110 on both the front & rear until i could graft the Banana swingarm in, which is considerable fabrication.
Im not too sure how the thing would ride with 110's on both the front & rear?
I just want to ride it for a bit before i pull it down for the Suspension conversion to begin.

Jay, it sounds as if the Sava would be worth a try.
I think their pricing would make it worth trying, particularly if it is sold as a race tyre.

Think i might give the Sava a go. Its a bit of an unknown for me, but what the heck, i can only sling it! :-)
