I'm sorry to have to report that Dave Cotterell has reecently passed away as a result of cancer. Dave was a good friend to my brother, and although he was not related to us, often lent Dougy his supercharged Vincent outfit for demonstration races on historic speedway. Some of us remember Dave from Brooklyn Speedway days in the seventies, when with Jimmy Carter as passenger, he excelled in sidecar racing. In recent years he has maintained two Vincent outfits, and regularly campaigned them in the face of medical adversity. There's a message for all of us in David's example. He'll be sadly missed!
