Has anyone got the list for Historic race meeting in 2008. I would like to add them to the site to give them exposure.

Also if there is a big Historic race meeting, that you would like to send an image of your promotional materal and a write up so I can place on the front page of the site to give it exposure at no cost.

If you have any of these, please contact me via the You must be logged in to see this link. and I will get them online for you.

Vic historic championships including the F2 sidecars and the BEARS Vic championship at Broadford last weekend of March 2008, I think 29 and 30th.

Southern Classic, subject to change at this stage, October 18 / 19.
Practise will be available at Broadford on the Friday preceding the weekend racing.

John, I know it is too early to confirm the two 2008 dates you have listed. ie. Vic. Historic State Titles March 29/30 and Southern Classic October 18/19 but would you please ensure Period 1 bikes are included in the Supp Regs for both meetings. It may be possible to have up to 6 Period 1 bikes entered for both these events.

There is a LOBETHAL Re-enactment planned for October 10-12 here in SA. It will be called the 2008 Lobethal Grand Carnival and will celebrate the almost 9 mile open road circuit used between 1937 and 1948 for both cars and bikes. The road circuit exists today much as it did back in 1937. It is envisioned that this will become an annual event with an all year round presence in the local area. The target group of entrants will be firstly, original cars and bikes which participated in the early races; secondly, cars and bikes of the original era, that is, Period 2 and 3 motorcycles; and finally cars and bikes of particular historic interest. Entry will be by invitation of the organiser only.

Hi David,
As soon as I get confirmation of other SA dates for next year I will put them on the calendar and speak to organisers to see if there is any promotional material that they want to post as well.
The regular meetings like the Easter Cup (at Easter time), The Old Farts at Mac Park (May), Master of Mac Park (later in the year), SA Titles (December) will all appear but there are a few at Mallala that I will get dates for as well.
I will post a reply here to let everyone know when I post those dates.
Cheers
Geoff
