Education is the only factor which has ever slowed the rate of population growth. Yet there is not even one free-to-air TV channel in Australia which provides an education service. School teachers seem to be afraid that somebody might get a freebie. Playing with old motorcycles crates a need to learn about science and technology. The days when kids could play with old motorcycles and cars are fast passing. I spent my working life as a scientist. But my interest in technology was primarily motivated by my underlying interest in developing road racing motorcycles. I have built my own road race motorcycle and won races with it. What you do John, in helping historic racing to happen, is very important. When it is gone there will ne nothing tangible. You cannot gain experience with s computer game.
My son told me that his F1 car racing computer game ' is just like the real thing'. I think he is a danger to himself. Buy kids do not know any different.
