Posted - 30 Mar 2012 : 1:12:15 PM A friend has told me that at the last historic practise day this month at broadford he was told that moms gcr 15.2.1.8 was going to be applied by hmrav at the vic titles in April. This states that all bikes must be fitted with under engine catch tank minimum 2.5 litres! My copy of the gcrs had this exempted for historics but that has now been crossed out implying that it is now to be applied to historics this year. How does such a ridiculous rule changes get passed by the historic committee. Where historic clubs consulted about this ?,it will do wonders for the historic image to see naked 500s going round with great big pans under there engine,,what a load of crap Just another example of no information from Ma, the club,s historic committee.who ever they are. maybe i am wrong about this hope so .some comment from hmrav would be nice.

Posted - 12 Apr 2012 : 6:49:48 PM Sanity will prevail. Historic racing is the easiest entry level road race class to get into, and it seems to be bigger than any other current class. It would take a very strange mindset to allow it to be stuffed up by a crazy rule. |

Posted - 12 Apr 2012 : 6:08:42 PM A Friend heard ! Who did they speak with, did they check with the HMRAV before telliong others. I suggest checking with Kelly ASAP. The HMRAV will be following what ever is required, so there should not be any surprises,

Without going into any detail or wishing to antagonise anyone I will point out that Chapter 15 does not apply to Historics, Chapter 16 does. Read 16.4.2.6. if the HMRAV want to vary their Supp Regs to accomodate this I would think alot will not have said catch tanks es would not enter for ths meetng |

Posted - 30 Mar 2012 : 7:44:24 PM Moving on there is an issue with Period 6 in relation to catch tanks which may be casing the confusion. Again at presnt Chapter 16 applies and if the HMRAV want to vary their Supp Regs to accomodate this that is their priviledge but any variance from the MOMs does need approval in this case by MA Vic |

It would be really nice and very different if people would check the rules before they shoot the volunteers who are doing there best with very little feed back from competitors and clubs.
