Posted - 06 Nov 2017 : 6:42:19 PM In an effort to build chair numbers, it has been agreed with PIMS that F2 sidecars can enter the Island Classic. From Max Hooper " Please assist by spreading this invitation to as many F2 teams possible asap both here and overseas. I have made some jolly extravagant promises to get this through, so please help me out by rounding up a few entries. I am certain this additional class will improve the spectator appeal of our class at this world class circuit, thus good for sidecar racing generally. With your support, next year I will be pushing for assistance to bring outfits from UK, USA, and NZ. I do not have any email addresses for F2 teams so please forward this asap, and please send me addresses so I can keep everyone in the loop. (or send everyone loopy) Please help with this. It can only be good for all of us regardless of which class you run.' Now some may moan but Max and I are into boosting sidecar fields wherever possible if it looks like numbers are going to be low. Please talk to myself or Max Hooper about any issues you may have.
