Hi all, a welcome to all interstate riders to attend our state champs, a two-day meeting at Barbagallo Raceway. Riders entering from outside WA will receive a refund of their entry fees. See club website for entry form, www.historicracing.asn.au . We can help with bike transport tips, billetting, collection from airport etc.
We travel east three times a year, so come over and check out Barbagallo (just in case we run the nats here in 2013 !) and enjoy
a gallop in the Wild West.
Contact details on club site, or phone club pres Craig Mitchell 0403 533 539 for more info.

GD that's tragic news.
I feel for you.

Excellent effort ! Those in the east we approached indicated they'd love to attend but not for a one-day meeting, so we've incurred an extra track hire fee of $4600 for Saturday to race two days, entries have closed and there's NO participation from interstate.

Thanks for nothing.

FINAL BUMP : Entries for the WA state historic champs close this Thursday, to repeat ourselves there is FREE ENTRY for interstate competitors, two days banging round Wanneroo with assorted like-minded loonies, CARN give it a go !!
GD66 Posted - 20 Jul 2011 : 8:04:17 PM
As classes, but we don't have anything like that number this year mate.

BUMP Supp regs are now out on the HCMC club website, good value at $160 for two days wailing round Wanneroo but as mentioned, interstate riders will get FREE entry for the state champs...

HOWEVER riders requiring a one-event licence for the champs will have to have their submission in by JULY 29th with our race secretary.

Be nice to see an attack from the HMRAV lads, as we've been over to Broadford for the last SIX Southern Classics...

And it'd be a good opportunity to check bike setup requirements in case we should run the historic nats in a year or two..

Thanks GD, how many P6 entries would be considered enough to get a championship class - min grids as per MoMs? Also, by Ch16 classes or all-in? ie: if you had 16 P6 bikes but they were comprised of 4 lots of 4 classes, would they run as one "P6" race, rules allowing?
GD66 Posted - 07 Jul 2011 : 8:58:16 PM
The parade is for non-racers : road bikes and ex-racers... like the parade at the Island Classic. If you are entered in the meeting, you cannot ride in the parade. We have made the cutoff 1990, as we see this as yet another opportunity to tickle the fancy of any potential new P6 pedallers.
If we get enough Period 6 racers entering the titles, they will get a championship class, if not they will still race, but will race as a support class. Either way, P6 in WA is under way and very much in our plans for the future.
Bear in mind Jason, HCMC of WA has for years run what we call Rule 20, which is a class with a rolling cutoff date of bikes that are 20 years old. Last year, P6 appeared but in a way we were already covered : now, if you're logbooked you're P6, if not, you run as a Rule 20 machine. We don't care either way, but we are at pains to point out if riders wish to take it up a notch and race in the east, they'll be needing a logbook, and all that entails...

On-track parade for pre 90 machines - I take it this means P6 is not getting a run in the Titles??
GD66 Posted - 07 Jul 2011 : 01:34:37 AM
BUMP : Supp regs were sorted tonight, will be in MWA's hands Friday and will be published next week.

Saturday, August 20th : practice, qualifying, one non-title race and one title race for historic classes.
Sunday, August 21st : warmup, non-title race and two title races for historic classes....also paddock displays from other clubs, lunchtime on-track parade for pre-'90 machines, and the inevitable post-meeting bench racing and barbie.

As mentioned, free entry for out-of-state entrants.
Come over for a gallop round Wanneroo...

My mistake Jason, we haven't sorted out the supp regs as yet. Drat !!
However, we will soon be whacking an expression -of-interest insert onto the site, preparatory to the release of supp regs and entry forms. And I'll update from time to time on this thread...

Regards GD

GD, I had a look on the website but couldn't see the entry form, would you mind pointing out where it is?
