I won nothing but had a great time, 1st time out at PI. Rubbish times, but hey, at least I got there! (we all have a first time right!)
Not sure who won anything either, I was too busy messing with bloody Amals!

Yes, me too re results. A long time since I was not there as a go-for, competitor or spectator. Have to go to hospital on Wednesday for a knee cartilage fix, so thought the extra walking would not do it much good

Is someone going to give us the gossip on the Sidecar racing or do we have to live in suspense.

Have said some of this on the sidecar forum posting but in case you missed that one let me report that it was great to have sidecars back at the Island. There were 18 entries, an evenish number of P4s and 5s with one Classic thrown in. I think there was only one with terminal failure (and they travelled all the way from Newcastle) but they were still enthusiastic and promised they would be back. I had some gearbox problems but managed to get on the track for Sunday's races. Racing seemed to bring out two main groups with a few seconds in between the groups but the races I watched on Saturday showed that most outfits got to play with somebody and some of it was quite cut and thrust. I have to say that it was kind of fun starting from the rear of grid on Sunday. You have seen the results link above now so I won't go into details there. Don, I hope the bruises are healing - the tyre wall is not the best landing spot! Geoff Sidecar#30 |
