Mark Campbell appointed new MV General Manager

Motorcycling Victoria (MV) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Mark Campbell as its new General Manager.

Mark brings to MV over 20 years of management and leadership experience, initially developed and honed within the naval aviation braches of the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy. Since leaving the Navy in 2004, he has worked for a number of aviation-related organisations, but his true career path has been in the area of motorsport.

Since 2002, Mark has been diversely involved in Formula One and the Australian domestic motorsport industries. He has also co-founded MOTORSupPORT Pty Ltd – a company dedicated to the support and development of on and off-track motorsport personnel. It is this passion, to promote, support and highlight the Australian motorsport industry, which he aims to inject into his role as General Manager of MV.

Although genetically a ‘Pom’, Mark has called Australia “home” since 1997 and has been an adopted-Victorian since 2000. He even barracks for Australia in the Ashes and FIFA World Cup! He lives in Tarneit, with his wife Kate and three boys – Sean, Ethan and James. His fourth boy is a 9 year-old Boxer dog, Regan.

Mark understands that these are challenging, but exciting times for MV and he looks forward to meeting and working with all clubs throughout 2009 and beyond, in order to deliver success and a value-for-money service for all members and customers of Motorcycling Victoria.

Mark begins work at the MV Office on Monday, 20 July 2009.

Yes. It might prove to be a good thing to have some different ideas on how to move ahead.
I wish him every success.
Cheers, John

Perhaps it would be possible to run the 500cc F3 racing cars along with 'junior sidecar'? Then we would have a two plus three plus four meeting?
