I have just bought bearings and parts for 3 motors. No discount available!!!! Do you think it would work if somebody organised a supplier and as many as possible did business with them and we all get a good price?

Melbourne Suzuki used to give trade discount to anyone who raced. Who gets that these days? |

We'll be in on that John. We're building another motor as a back up, and parts are needed. I've been buying from Ebay, etc, out of the US, but even they aren't all that cheap! Cheers, Tony. |

could HMRAV negotiate a racer's discount with various companies and provide a preferred suppliers list to competitors at their meetings? |

Too hard and too many ungrateful people would benefit from the efforts of others. Sidecar blokes tend to help each other, thats why I have started thsi topic. |

I have been getting bearings quickly from Ken Colvan in west heidleberg. Spelling may be incorrect! I am tired. I mentioned a few of us were starting to need bits and would he be interested in keeping some stock in place. He said that some stuiff is now veruy dear out of the USA, Barnett Baskets etc, and he was no longer a honda dealer but he would look at offering 10% on Honda bits that he can source in Australa. Ken has been involved with Honda CB750 motors for a very long time and it may be a useful link for all of us. I suggest I will get his details here tommorrow and perhaps people talk to him and see if it worth everybodies worth while to deal with him.
Mick Hone at his business in Box Hill has often helped racers with Suzuki, he and I are oold acquaitainces and he has always been helpful to any racer so he may be a worth while person to see if he can do a deal for all the P5 Suzuki donks around.
Please report back how you go because it can help as all stay on the track where the real racing should take place. Thanks |
