Following feedback from John Feakes who chatted around the pits at the Seniors event, the HMRAV meeting last night will actively look at provideing a Sunday Only entry for thsoe who said they cannot attend a two day race event because of work commitments.
The deal wil involved - A slight reduction in entry fee - Racers will start at the back of the grid for the first event - Upgrade of start positions thereafter will folloow normal procedures which involves discussion directly with the Cleark of Course. - All Sunday entries MUST partake in the practise sessions on Sunday morning. - If possible machines will be scrutineered on saturday afternoon / evening if we are forewarned about your arrival.
We hope this addresses one reason racers may not attend aften.

John, one of our honourable members recently said that questions without notice deserve answers without thought. A one day event merits more than a slight reduction in entry fees. Racers can't start at the back of the grid unless they are in a single line across the track. Glad to see that we are at least prepared to look at something different. Cheers, John |

After a bit more thought I'm now not sure that what I first thought you were saying is in fact what you are saying. The word entry rather than event now leads me to think that the plan is to have a normal 2/3 day meeting but to accept Sunday only entries. A dip of the toe rather than a headlong plunge. I like the idea. It will give a good indication of how many (if any) prefer the one day event idea. Let's give it a try. Cheers, John |

"Racers can't start at the back of the grid unless they are in a single line across the track."
What do you mean by that statement, many people "Start at the back of the Grid. It seems a practical way to address the situation, I now here we have to do taht if we dont actually race on the Sat because of breakdown or missed practise. It seems fair. |

Ah, Oldonk, at first I thought John D. was talking about a one day EVENT which is what we had been discussing. Hence my comment about starting from the back of the grid. I now believe he is talking about one day entry to a two day meeting which would mean starting from the back of the grid because of not racing on Saturday. Two very different situations. Cheers, John |

Well if it provides for those who genuinely cannot get there on saturday it will be good. I guess it will take time to see if in reality there are many involved, but it is a courageous offer to make. I hope it meets the needs of some. I guess if 25 take up the offer, the club could think about a separate one day event, but that will need to be proven. |

John F you got it correct the second time. At least you did say something without thinking only to realise the reality was different to the original perception.
We hope it helps some.

I think it is a great idea. It will, of course, need to be ADVERTISED or nobody will know it is available. Cheers, John
