Anyone out there know of some-one in Oz with experience in building Matchless G50 engines ? I have a head casting and parts and need someone to machine and assemble. All leads gratefully received. cheers
Greg Kennedy in South Australia certainly has a good track record, so to speak.
He built the Ken Lucas G50 that raced to a place (3rd I think) at the 2008 Oz titles in WA in the hands of Brendan Roberts. You were probably there and saw it?
Here in Adelaide we have a good little network building replica race engines. As well as more G50s, Greg is putting the finishing touches to a rather special G80 replica race engine right now.
Dave Basham's JAPs were quite fast in the past, just a pity they don't come out for other than the occasional local event.
Myself? I've nearly finished building two 8/80s for customers, they will be on the tracks next year.
