A few years ago I rode at a Senior's meeting at Mount Gambier. It was enter on the day, pay your entry fees and day licence and you got to race. I can only remember there being one rule - the total age of the bike and rider was supposed to be over 90 years. However I don't think anybody ever checked. Historic racing rules provide the opportunity for control freaks to exercise their egos. They rarely achieve anything constructive. Even the rule which stops bikes with drum and disc brakes from racing together is un-necessary, if a normal amount of care is taken by the riders. The Seniors' meetings are a lovely opportunity to have the fun which motorcycling is all about. They are NOT ROCKET SCIENCE !
