I have attached a photo that was taken at the Amateur Sports Ground in 1910/1911.



This ground was on the site of the present Olympic Park in Swan Street Melbourne, and had started life as a bicycle racing track.

Motorcycles ran on it for two or three years. Government House is clearly seen in the background.

Of the two machines in view the nearest is a Triumph, but I am unable to identify the other machine.

Note that most people in the shot are wearing ties and hats. A different world.

Does anybody else have interesting photos of motorcycles over the years? Not necessarily this old. Lets see them.
