We have discussed arranging fuel to order, along the same lines as the supply at Mt Gambier, which we thought worked pretty well. (Wasn't that a BALLTEARER of a meeting ?) In accordance, we will be making enquiries along that line with the entries, as well as the chance to order fuel there will be a chance to order event clothing. Currently, Racing 100 is available from a bowser at the circuit, but we hear this supply may be wound down as this season progresses (booo !!). We also have planned to have available access to a wrecker over the weekend for emergency spare parts, a tyre bay ( you bring the tyres, but we can get them changed ), and gas and arc welding if required. And by the way, if any of you have red-hot ideas about what else we can offer to facilitate your weekend at the nats, please get in touch. So, the short answer is YES, we plan to have Racing 100 and Methanol available, but we think a pre-order system will be the way to go.

Sounds like you are thinking of everything GD66.
So I should be able to order a couple of drums of leaded 100, when you have the fuel side of things sorted out?. (I have a leaded fuel log book)
I appreciate all the trouble you guys are going to, to make this a great meeting.
We are looking forward to the adventure!
Regards
Rol.

We are about ready to roll with our mailout to all Comp Licence holders, as well as regs there will be information on fuel purchasing as outlined above, accommodation and camping, car rentals, and ordering facilities for event clothing and memorabilia. If you are not a full comp licence holder, I suggest you stay in close touch with your local club secretary to get hold of this information pack. As more information relevant to the running of the Historic roadrace nationals comes to hand, rather than issuing subsequent mailouts, we will be updating things on the HCMC of WA club website, which is historicracing.asn.au , and as I've mentioned before, if there are any queries or suggestions and improvements you'd like to see incorporated for the champs, PLEASE get in touch with the club. Regards GD

That's good, mate. As outlined on the previous page of this topic, the HCMC of WA are offering a subsidy of $1000 per state towards the cost of a container, and HMRAV is the relevant club in Victoria. I checked with our nats committee chairman Bob Humphreys tonight and clubs have been contacted by email and telephone, clubs involved are outlined in the post of May 23rd on previous page. So it's good that you're getting calls, but you'll need someone from HMRAV to collate the responses, and do the bookings. Mailouts will be going out in a couple of weeks. More soon, regards GD

Hello All, long time no see, (yeah foot is better, am walking with only 1 stick now and thanks for asking ) Just wondering if anyone is still going to the titles in W.A (a few have pulled out I hear) and if anyone has room for 2-3 sidecars. We have not made a decision yet as it all depends on costings (as Bondy as spent a fortune already on putting the #07 machine back together) but would like nothing more than to go and represent good ol' vic sidecars. So if you have room could you let me know with a rough cost also so I know how much to sell the missus for.

Cheers

Evening all, well our mailout was satisfactorily completed last week to all historic race licence holders, if you didn't receive one then please contact your club or download the supp regs from the MA website, or our own club website, historicracing.asn.au. Due to finalising last details of the caps, t-shirts etc for the meeting, the info leaflet isn't included, but as has been correctly pointed out, there's really no need to supply all the relevant support info to those who aren't entering the meeting....duh ! For those who are entering, can I say a huge 'Thanks and Well Done' to the large contingent of Victorians who have indicated their intention to travel West for the nats, early enquiries have indicated that in spite of a tightening of the belt all round, the Vics are keen to get back over here and get stuck in once again. We've also fielded expressions of intent from everywhere else round Oz, and have three top Kiwis travelling to Perth for the first time to join in as well. So, if you are still humming and ha-ing, get on the phone and find out from your club who else is coming over to the nats, and for any questions PLEASE contact our committee or Race Secretary on 08 9249 6687, and come on over !

Ummm actually your mail out was not quite as satisfactory as you might have thought 'cos I am not aware of anybody in South Oz who got one. I don't think it really matters though because it appears that most of the stuff is on your website anyway (although that is a problem for me because our 'carrier pigeon internet' that they consider is service to country areas took 45 minutes to open your home page!!!).
Anyway, a couple of questions.
What price is the methanol? I note in the documentation that it is available but could not see a price. Yes, i know i could ring the supplier but I figured that by putting it on here then we get to share it with everyone and save 99 phone calls across Australia!
And Collie? I have not seen entry forms for Collie yet (maybe I missed them whilst waiting for the 'carrier pigeon') but I am keen to do both meetings while I am 'over west' so some info on that would be good too.
Looking forward to just being there.
And yes, you will get my entry soon - we are just debating whether I might be able to bring one of those funny things that only has two wheels as well the sidecar!!!!

The methanol price will be with the info pack that is enclosed with the entry acceptance notification, Geoff, but I will find out the price and advise shortly. Fuel will be delivered to the circuit and stored, but all sales will be direct between competitor and supplier. We are now aware of the shortcomings of the MA-supplied mailout list, however between the MA site and our club website, there is still plenty of scope to download the entry forms ; if anyone else is reading this and is still snookered, please get in touch with the club direct and we will race you out a set on paper, in fact call me direct on 0422 167 734 and I'll sort it out for you. Collie format is being finalised, but is still a goer.

....and we're back. Geoff and others, the fuel situation is as follows : Shell 100 racing fuel will be available at the circuit bowser by the litre, at a price to be nominated by the circuit, from Thursday November 20th : supply your own containers. All sales will be CASH only, as we have no eftpos facilities for the sale of fuel. Sales will be available a number of times each day of the meeting.
Methanol sales will be handled by David Thomas of VP Racing Fuels, and will be available in 20 litre or 200 litre drums. Each order must be ordered and paid for by the end of business on Friday,7th November. Your order will attract a $5 delivery charge, and will then be delivered to the circuit on Wednesday, November 19th. The price I can't give definitively at the moment, I'm afraid, but you will be charged the going rate when you order your fuel. So, to order fuel, you'll have to contact :
David Thomas, VP Racing Fuels
Ph 08 9443 1719
Mob ph 0417 910 036
Fax 08 9242 2525. Preferred method of payment is by credit card.

Hope this info is what you're after. This and other event info can be obtained by accessing the HCMC of WA club website, historicracing.asn.au, and clicking on the Nationals poster. Supp regs for Collie should be available on the website as well.
