using your "reasoning" Alan, sticking a 2000 something kawasaki motor in a molnar/Walmsley/Irving period race bike as Paton has done,is ok??,the Paton with the Paton engine (engine production hasn't stopped since the 60's) is kosher for our racing, the other kwaka Paton is keeping the factory doors open, nothing to do with our level of racing,,

If the Paton S1 is modern, which Australian road race class would it be competitive in ?
