The Historic Motor Cycle Racing Register of South Australia is pleased to announce the running of the SA Historic Championships for 2005.
This year we will be running the event at Mac Namara Park Mt Gambier SA over the weekend of 30th, 31st Dec 2005 & 1st Jan 2006.
It is intended to have supp. regs. and entry forms distributed early Sept to all who have entered our meetings in the past, with a proposed entry closing date around the 30th Nov. We would suggest that if you intend to enter for this meeting it may be wise to book accommodation earlier rather than later. Check on You must be logged in to see this link. for information regarding available accommodation. Camping is available at the track at no charge for those who wish to take this option, toilets and shower facilities are available.
This year will be an all historic affair, including period 3 700cc and period 4/5 750cc classes. Pre war classes (350 & 500) will be run in conjunction with a combined periods 125cc class. Awards will be based on a min of 5 entries per class with some classes running in combined events depending on entry levels. You can rest assured that we will keep performance differences in mind in setting events to ensure racing is as safe as possible for all. Please keep in mind that this is a State Title event therefore full licences and Log Books are mandatory.
Included in the meeting will be the annual Ken Blake Memorial race for period 3 & 4 machines and the final round of the Les Diener Series for 2005 for pre ’58 machines.
Friday 30th Dec will be an open practice day run by the Mt Gambier club at a cost of $50 (payable on the day), and we will also be scrutineering machines on that day to ease the usual rush on Sat morning. Sat morning will include a qualifying race to set grid positions.
We look forward to seeing you all there and if you require any further information please contact us via the following:
