John, I emailed him what I know. - Not much! I bought the grinder but that's as far as I've got.
Does anyone know where we can get suitable rollers?

Hi Guys, Rollers are dead easy to make you just need some tubing of the right size and some bright round bar all of which are easy to source. Weld up the ends of the tube then bore a hole to take the bright bar weld it in and hey presto rollers, then all you need is a key way cut in one end and two plummer blocks and bearings, mount it all on a sub frame and mount the grinder, fit a chain drive and a guard(most important and away you go. There are a few other bits to do like organise a remote foot switch and ramps to get on and off the thing but its really only an afternoons work once you have all the parts and a plan of attack. If the above is to daunting go to a place that sells conveyors or mining equipment and they should be able to sell rollers you can use which would save time but cost more. If you live in WA give me a call and I will point you in the right direction.

I have had a request from the builder or seller of these starters. The HMRAV newsletter will have his details. David Greening has made a resaonable request not to promote business's that dont pay a fee here. |
