G'day It is with regret that I have to inform you that Richard Frank passed away last night, Monday 19 March 2007.

Richard was a keen supporter of Historic Racing and sidecar racing in particular having campaigned a machine in an earlier life and in recent times he was trying to get his Mini powered machine ready to race with Robert Todd as the rider.
Richard had strong opinions on many subjects but Historic racing and his grandchildren were his great passions.
His dulcet tones as the track commentator for the HMRAV have been heard for a number of years now at Historic Winton and Broadford.
His contribution to Historic Racing must be recognised and he will be missed by many who crossed his path.

I am sorry to hear that Richard has gone to the big sidecar in the sky.
As teenages way back in the years when side car were sidecars I built a kneeler sidecar for Richard and Roger Cornillis? using a 650 Triumph I still have fine memory of those day's at 30 Tattenham St Caulfield where we all built our own race bikes.. Best regards to Richard's family

Alan,
I have a photo of the kneeler machine built by you and Richard all those years ago.
If only I knew how to post a copy I would.

......... only knew Richard for a few years and do hope that Rob can give the mini machine a run at a future meeting.

I was sending a press release for an up-coming meeting this afternoon - it is very sad when you have to delete an email listing from your media contacts.
Our thoughts to Marilyn and family.
