We are wondering what peoples thoughts about each racer supplying and having their own fire extinguisher in their pit area as well as the normal supply around the place.
In the light of a few fires lately we are just wondering if it should be compulsory.
feedback is requested.

John, I agree with your suggestion. It needn't be a large unit, say about a 1kg Dry Chem type(Red with White band)?
We intend on carrying an extinguisher as a matter of course. Not all of us can get a pit shed which means that we may be scattered in a "Pit area", so their use could be for someone else as well as us?
Tony.

What happened at Winton last year was very dangerous and could have had serious repercussions to historic motorcycle racing.
Protect your plant and toys - have your own 1kg to deal with the unexpected around your space.

Excellent idea. For 30 bucks it is good insurance.

Totally agree. They are recommended by both clubs in WA but are not compulsory. Maybe they should be.
