I just had call about the passing of Colin Will from cancer, he owned that wonderful but noisy Vincent.
Passed away last night.

That is sad news.
Colin was a great guy, often I would see him at Tech Books in Melbourne and we would talk about Vincents and lots of other things - then when next I saw him I would be going off at him for having such a rowdy bike at Broadford - but you should know we were always very civil to each other ....
Rest in Peace Colin.

Well said, Patrick, Colin had no beef with anyone in motorcycle sport.... except the Noise Police ! But we all owe him a debt of gratitude, for keeping the wonderful Corish Vincent not just on the track, but snorting. In the more than capable hands of Clive Harrop, and latterly Stuart Loly, the magnificent vee twin thrilled us all as it growled around The Island, Broadford, anywhere classic nuts would gather. Though he didn't race it, Colin would do the prep work, tuning and test riding of the mighty beast, and in doing so kept alive the thread that joins the classic fans of today with the escapades of the amazing, almost legendary Eric Debenham on the bike in the 70s, as he fought gallantly against the Japanese invasion, notably at his most favourite hunting ground, Bathurst.
In addition, visitors from Western Oz were just some of the many competitors Colin helped selflessly at race meetings, and you couldn't find a more pleasant or gentlemanly companion in conversation on race day. So hats off Colin, and thanks heaps for the memories and your warm contribution to the classic cause. RIP, mate.
