This is the sort of stuff that comes from some riders. His first email to MV was dated 31 /5 08 and I publish it to show what a rude person he is.
"From: Sent: Thursday, 12 June 2008 5:55 PM To: info@motorcyclingvic.com.au Subject: ????????????
Well, I have to wonder wether I'll get a reply to this email, seeing as the other TWO I've sent have gone unanswered..
Yes, that's right, two sent, both regarding the same subject & not a reply in sight.. What a wonderful way to run the office of Motorcycling Victoria..
I'm not going to say what I'd really like to here, as I can see that result a mile off. Licence suspended & a nice little holiday from competition for having the nerve to call a spade a spade & say that the service all competitors pay for leaves a bloody lot to be desired!!!!
So I'll get on with my original question, which was regarding numbers in Historic Road Racing & wether or not 69 was available for use in Post Classic, 501cc- 750cc? If not, are 21 or 13 available?
If by some remote chance the entire office staff of Motorcycling Victoria have been delt a shocking hand of luck by fate & have been totally incapable of reading & responding to emails, I offer my sincere apologies & wish all a speedy recovery.. If It's just a case of we'll get around to It, please do so soon, Ive got a meeting I'd like to compete In mid Sept....
Regards This is my reply ;
xxx, it is not often I get such a rude letter and its letter like yours that remind me how ungrateful many people are for the assistance given to them by others. I wonder why people with such a filthy attitude believe it will get better results. I will say that such language could cause many to tell you to go way, but I am not that sort of prick, I always try and help even the most ungrateful. Karma may get you instead. Particularly when your letters are only dated 31/5 and 6/6, that's not that long ago. I take it that the race in mid September is the Seniors meeting as so you should be old enough to know a better attitude will go a long way. For the record riders usually ring me on the number given when the renewed licences are returned, 03 9888 4387, since I am the ' volunteer' who kindly gives his time to sort out racing numbers for the riders benefit. 69 and 21 are not available, but 13 is for P/C Solo. If you wish to use that please email me and I shall put the details of your bike, type,model, capacity, year, colour on the database which records the numbers and is also used for the programs as well. 13 June 2008

I think I know who wrote that. I hope he doesn't take that attitude with him when racing. Cheers, John

Being rude is not a smart way to complain about poor service! |

After the riders' briefing at the Southern Classic, this comes as no surprise... |
