I've joined this forum specifically to see if someone can help me find some images of American C class racing in the 40's & 50's. I've spent some time on google with your site being the only result.

We are putitng together some footage for C31 on the history of choppers which had its inception in C class racing.

Sorry if you guys think choppers are sacrelige!

but I do personally own a 29 350 HD restored by Harry Butler (his last) and my father's second bike a 34 KSS Velo as well as a Velo GTP. The first two get ridden up and down my country road to keep them in order and the GTP needs some tuning to get it running properly. Dad was a keen sidecar man and I still have three of his sidecars as well. He was a member of the SA classic motorcycle club until his death at 90 two years ago.

Anyway, if any one can help point me in a direction for USA c class photos I would be very greatful.

Thanks John. I tried ahrma as you suggested, but can't seem to find anyone to contact re history of C class. Am about to look up "Hollister" which had an infamous incident that gave rise to the term 1%er. They had C class there. Will let you guys know if I find anything with that search. Anyone else with suggestions please let me know.

Thanks John. I found a Hollister website that had some original poics of the Hollister incident plus some pics of a local club in the 40's. A bit of nostalgia, but no decent C class racing pics. Here's the site foryour interest... You must be logged in to see this link.
