The time has come for the "Pink Pig" to receive a larger motor. We started off this year with a relatively stock 750, albeit a little tired, but it did the trick in terms of relability and addiction.
We would like to start building an 836 motor, both for better performance/competitiveness, and to carry our large muscular frames!!
Can anyone give me some leads/info on who to speak to, parts sources, etc, etc? I have a couple of spare motors worth rebuilding but will need the usual pistons, cam, etc.
Alternatively, if the 750 sidecar class was to be resurrected, we would be more than happy to stay there and rebuild a decent motor based on stock. (should I hold my breath?)
Your help will be paid back in terms of our much wider grins and eternal gratitude.
Thanks, Tony (Sidecar #20, the Pink Pig)

Tony, what breed are these pig hearts that you have?

I'm assuming that you mean the motor John?
Sorry, I should have said, Honda CB750. BTW, I have scrounged a set of pretty decent used 836 pistons, now on to the rest of the goodies. Its amazing what one finds in the parts bin in the shed!!
Cheers, Tony.

Tony, it is more economical to build an 836 than to stay and rebuild a 750 engine.
There are kits available from the USA, Dynoman from memory.
I have purchased Wiseco 836cc kits locally as well.
I would not hold out for the 750cc class, it just died.
Perhaps come down and talk with Graham at our place if you want to do the work yourselves, other wise Mick deWith Rex Wolfendoen may be able to help.

Try cyclexchange.net they have some good gear and the prices were ok before our dollar started falling.

Hey Tony,

Might be worth your while to have a decent talk with Bondy about a motor, I know that he just finished rebuilding a 836 for a road bike that sounds really good and given his history you know it will go too.
If you don't have his number let me know.

Cheers,

Thanks to you all.
I'll be in touch and undertake the searches progressively. We will be going with the 836 motor, but take a bit of time to get things done. We'll finish this year on the "little" donk.
Bretta, we'll catch up at the classic and talk.
Cheers, Tony.
