Well all, it's that time of the year again ...... PI coming up and we all hoping that we have enough entries to fill the grid or at least get a start. Hoping you have all sent your entries off (closes in 2 weeks)if not ya better hurry. Don't know whether to tell you or not that the full Brass Balls Team will be there (Peg flying home just for this event and he even got a new, new, new, very green passenger)anyways hope to see you all again in Sidecar Alley.

Cheers

The Pig will be there, forms go in this week.
We hope to actually get at least one lap in next year? Given the length of the track, we probably won't get lapped either?
Cheers, Tony.

Greetings All,

I doubt I will be back for the Island Classic, this year I had a great time, but the ride was a one off. I don't know if the owner will take it back. If someone offers me a ride I would jump at it if it fits in with all else. I just bought another modern sidecar so must plan around that.

Cheers, peen.

I was talking to Phillip Island today and was told they have 29 sidecars entered, great news but with a small problem, they are only allowed 24 on the grid so assuming all are still running when the flag drops there may be a couple of disappointed people. The guy I was talking to is/was going to talk to MA but didnt sound confident.
Hope it all works out for you guys and have a great weekend. Wish I could be there.

Interesting? I have it on good authority that the island can grid up to 38 outfits, which means that 29 are all in.
Cheers, Peen 0_0.

And the saga continues..................
Ignore my previous post, good authority isn't always correct.
PI is limited to 24 on the grid for racing, but..... they are trying to start with a split grid, subject to MA approval, i.e. P5's at the front with a delayed start for the rest of the field. This means that it becomes two grids as I understand it. I've been asked to call them back on Monday to see what eventuates, and I'll post more when I get it. Have to say that the guy I spoke to was very helpful, and understands the predicament of lower powered outfits not being given a go.
Cheers, peen0_0

Fellas PLEASE Lay low on this situation.
The more noise made the harder a solution will be obtainable.
The less people talking to PIMS and MA the easier will be a solution will be found.

If you are ever going to trust me, please make thsi the occasion.
Call me if you need to on 03 9888 4387.
