Congratulations to all involved in making this day happen. A great turn out and so many happy faces around Broadford.
Well done people.
Cheers, John

Indeed. I'm hooked, I had a ball. I'm the maniac who couldn't stay away from the chairs for more than 5 minutes. A.k.a the mad French girl.
Just discovered the forum, so just thought I'd pop in and say hi.

Welcome shadowkult - its great that you enjoyed your day.
Can you please tell us how you got there and what the best part was?
25/50 words would be great.

Well, a friend of mine introduced me to sidecars when he introduced me to motorcycling a couple of years ago. He told me that I would definitely have a ball. SO this year I tracked down the SCRCV for their opening day. Got there, everyone was really friendly and I just jumped in. Biggest grin ever. Best part? First time with the shoulder down on the left-hander. Now THAT's fun.

Thanks shadowkult, great to get your reply.
Left hander, now all the photographers will be out there next year.
Two or three years ago someone on their first day said it was way better than a bungy jump which had lasted just 25 seconds.
Sidecar intro days go all day for around the same price as one bungy jump.

I actually managed to get a nice shot by Dingo I think of one of my laps on the left hander, I'm quite happy about it.
I think there should be more open days for sure.

Folks, I watched shadowkult (Mel) swing that day, and she's sure as hell better than me. Then again, my grandmother's better than me and she's been dead since 1976......anyway, Ben Needham and I are forming a new team, with a new tricycle, so I probably won't be such a sidecar slut anymore. However, if you want a damn good passenger who understands bikes and is super keen to have a go: talk to Mel.

G'Day 64...leave this with me, we've got a SCRCV meeting coming up and I'll get a copy of all the upcoming stuff then.

Cheers, Matt
