Being a grumpy old wotsit I just want to have a grumble.
We used to have nice simple classes at world level that enabled privateers to get in and have a go. Now our sport has been taken away from us and it is becoming increasingly difficult for a privateer to break in.
The only remaining class for the privateer is going to be 125s and that is almost an impossibility now.
We are going to end up with the two rival camps running essentially their own versions of Superbikes and Supersports, rather like the F1 and V8 car series. These will be well controlled entertainment packages sold to the world.
We have lost control of our sport and I fear we will live to regret it.
How do we allow people to establish positions of power and then restructure things to benefit themselves?
Is it just me?
Cheers, John
