I'm not convinced that silence means satisfaction with the status quo. I suspect that most can't be bothered to give serious thought to change, particularly if it means they actually have to do something. We have to have "compulsory voting" to get people off their backsides to have a say in how the country is run so what hope has motorcycling got? |

I am convinced that my claim is correct. If people are not moved to say anything, they will not, if its about right they have proven they will not say or do anything away from a pot of beer. Compultion to participate will not work most dont even attend club meetings let alone read newsletter fully etc.
As a Secreatry I can only encourage people so much, beyond that it is comsuming my bike tuning time and that is not reasonable either. As they say"Put up or shut up!"

Come on!!! Why run separate 2 stroke & 4 stroke classes? Surely if you 4 strokers are unable to run with the 2 strokes, handicap the 2 strokes to race against larger capacity 4 strokes but we want to race equal (lap time) bike/riders too.

Bernie, the idea is to try to create fair competition between similar bikes. Even Honda with their multi cylinder 4 strokes gave up trying to hold off the 2 strokes. We are talking about historic racing and as such it should have some connection to what actually happened in the past. If your bike is now so fast that you are starting to feel lonely why not enter it in modern races too? Cheers, John |
