Well John you have started right by starting to run Races for P5. WE (classismotorcycling .com.au) will let riders know through our forums when races are being held, that's if the clubs let us know, also let the pcansw know they are very P5 active in P5 racing.

Gday HMRAV - good to see you inviting P5 - Are you already inviting P4?
My suggestion is this - publish your race dates in AMCN as specific categories being catered for so that people reading it will know that this invitation is new, post your dates also to any and all websites catering for P4-5 such as postclassicracing.com and then simply invite any and all bikes.
If you find that you don't have many P4 and/or P5 bikes entering, instead of running two seperate grids, one for P4 and another for P5, simply rename your class as Forgotten Era (not an MA name) and allow all machines which are eligible for P4 AND P5. This will give you better racing with fuller grids and allows P4 machines to also compete against both P4 and P5 machines with bikes not having to be changed between classes. This allows the use of methanol in P4 bikes etc. YOU are not going outside of GCRs as all machines need to be eligible either for P4 OR P5 !.....
You need to get quickly acquainted with P5 eligibility and to make sure that as per GCRs, ALL historic machines carry a validated LOG BOOK. If the bike is different from the log book pic and listing, then the owner presumably MUST provide proof of eligibility!
You could actually present trophies to P4 riders within this combined grid, so they wouldn't feel that they are heving to ONLY compete against P5 machines ! But if a P4 bike gets an outright result he deserves the Forgotten Era trophy as well as the P4 trophy!
What do you think ?? |

HMRAV caters for all sidecars and solos in P2, P3 P4 and now P5. the contant argument against them is that they do not enter. Where do they race at the moment, does anybody know. The HMRAV is thinking about the possibility of running a P4 and P5 for sidecars and solos with F2 sidecars to give them another meeting. The entry numbers would need to be gr8 to get it off the ground. The question is would you enter, can you l;et nme know if your are interested either via the site me directly at jdaley@pictureframer.net |

In accordance with the current GCR's HMRAV has again provided for P5 in addition to the P2,P3 and P4 sidecars and solos at Historic Winton May 31 /june 1 2003. Remember we are also running 750cc Pushrods as a separate category so please enter.
