where can I get post clasic rules from?
what is the (a) earliest and (b)the latest years that can be used?
what is p5?
sorry for sounding dumb but have been right out of road racing for years.

Ian,

The Post Classic rules are shown in the 2003 Motorcycling Australia rule book, and it will give you all the information that you need.

Post Classic is divided into Period 4 (1963 to 1972) and Period 5 (1973 to 1980).

FYI...

Historic road racing categories

Period 1 – up to December 31, 1919
Period 2 – 01/01/1920 to 31/12/1945
Period 3 – 01/01/1946 to 31/12/1962
Period 4 – 01/01/1963 to 31/12/1972
Period 5 – 01/01/1973 to 31/12/1980


Historic road racing classes

Ultra lightweight – up to 125cc
Lightweight – 132-250cc
Junior – 263-350cc
Senior – 368-500cc
Unlimited – 526-1300cc
Sidecar – up to 1300cc
