Hi all - whilst I am working out all the points from the bob Blythe meeting, we have had an interesting request to supply some used gear on loan to a men's fashion label who has been selected as a finalist for a Melbourne fashion show. The PCRA's name might get a mention on TV and radio as a thanks. Anyway, these guys n' gals are making the theme of their show 'Old motorcycle racing'so it'd be cool to have lend them some stuff if you can. tHEY NEED STUFF BEFORE mARCH 8 AND They will pick up and return everything and don't care what condition they're in. Anything from old boots, gloves, jackets, helmets, flags, posters, whatever.

if you want to help, please contact Nicci Hunter

The original letter -

Hello ZoltAon,

I can't thank you enough for your assistance.

In brief, Andysoma is a Sydney based menswear label which is sold throughout
Australia and internationally. Andysoma has been chosen as a finalist for
the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival on 14-21 March 2004. The winter
clothing range which is being presented in the form of a catwalk parade was
inspired by motor cycling ie. details and images on clothing.

To create an impact for the parade I thought it would be great to include
motorcycle props and accessories from anything from the turn of the 20th
century. These are a few of my ideas:
- motorcycle boots!!!! old and new - ideally i would like all the models
wearing them. so ANY boot old or new would be fabulous (i really reaslly
don't care what condition they are in)
- black and white checkered flag
- accessories - gloves, helmets etc
- motor cycles (???)
- old film, footage, images and newspaper clippings to merge and create a
short film of motorbikes
- music
- basically ANYTHING relating to motor cycling - old and new

Ideally we would like props etc by the 8th March (sooner if possible and no
later than 11th March) in order to work out exactly what is needed. In
reference to pickup/delivery I would pick them up and return all goods in
same condition as they were given. I assure you that care is taken with
everything supplied. It is a parade, so anything used will be only worn
once. Images, footage, film etc supplied will be needed pre event and would
be returned in the same condition.

Anything you can do to help will be much appreciated. Post Classic Racing
Association will be given credits for the show and will also obtain media
exposure through television and newspaper coverage of the parade -
interviews are always conducted with the designer, national newspapers and
television stations always cover the event.

Your help is much appreciated and thank you. I look forward to hearing from
you and please contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Kindest Regards,
Nicci
