The HMRAV committe has decided to implement some new security procedures at this years event.
Because of the increase in the numbers of people coming, many who are not racers the new security will involve the following major points;
- A security guard will be on duty
- The Vehcular access will be limited after 8.30 pm
- Lights out at 11pm will be called
- No drinking alcohol in the pits after 11pm
We believe all these and other steps will ensure a safe, secure and family friendly atmosphere will be retained at the meeting.

Point taken Matcho, but the bottom line was that if the HMRAV did not make any plans for making sure security was thought about, MV would by banning camping. There have been a few isolated incidents thus far at Broadford and the word was lets keep it that way.

#1 security guard?,we have generally have over 100 security guards(read competitors who camp?)
#2 the above "proper"security guard will want to be clued up?,i have seen competitors arriving at 1am,having driven from interstate!the previous morning!
#3do you know how long it takes to rebuild a gearbox twice after hours?,(just ask Dave L)(and then watch The Twin Towers afterwards)
#4 well Max will be pleased!,he will only have to donate 1 carton to the campfire brigade?

Maybe the proper guard can organise the possie. We have made provisiond to allow for gearbox repairs and even to get bits, but that will be announced on the w/e . We wont have the gates locked on Friday so late comers can get in ok. Thanks for the feedback though.
