This meeting will take place on 13 Feb 2005.
It will involve small, old cars, solos to 1980 and any eara sidecar.
Generally consisting of timed 3/4 laps of the Broadford Circuit for the Historic cars and solos and perhaps a handicap race for the sidecars. In 12 x 30 minutes sessions.
Now dont start rabitting on aboyt V8's etc. the cars are limited to 700kg, 1600cc and 1950 age limit.
If you want to be involved with the management please come on board.
The emphasis will on on participation rather than horespower. the Hiss and the bang of all vehilces. Ideally it would be nice to get some Veteran bikes and cars there also.
At this stage full licences will be required, but some provision may be possible for Rec. licences, but there is an issue of rec. licences and charging at the gate for spectators.

Can you give us some feedback, are you interested? If we ran a regularity trial for the very, very old bikes, when do you think that date should apply for them?
Full details are on the HMRAV site but we welcome comments and questions here.

Good news.
This meeting is now a posability because some points about the philosophy of the meeting with no tin tops or prentensious carries have been clarified.
Keep working on your veteran machines.

The idea to have an event for Period 1 bikes is great. Are there any other silly old farts out there who are willing to support the idea?

The whole meeting is planned to revolve around P1, P2, P3 machines with the others coming along to pay the rent. I have been remiss in not making this clear. The important aspect is participation of the old stuff that is largely ignored nowadays.
We want to provide an exhibition space for old bangers and chuffersbe they a car , sidecar or solo.

What happened to the Historic Broadford event? And what about the relationship with the Austin 7 Club? Is the idea still alive?

John as a matter of interest how did you manage to get a permit from MA or MVIC for this event, we have tried for years to organise a similar event in WA.
