Is the UK site where they are bragging about coming down and whipping the Aussie bikes . Could be a good read over time.

A real meeting true, but the classes are also being combined as they were at Winton with Classic and Post Classic together again!Spectators are not going to understand the battles going on again.

Has anyone got any contact for buying approximately 80l of methanol for Phillip Island. I have contacted the Shell Service station at Cowes, and have been told that they will no longer handle any methanol due to "red-tape".

At this stage I dont know, but I will look around.
Since the sidecars are not on we all will not be there and we [The sidecars ] bulk purchase the stuff together, you could have jumped on our backs. We pay $25 per 20L.
I actually hve 40 L in the shed at the moment but will not be stepping foot on the Island.

John,

All sorted. I managed to share a 205l drum with a few other guys. Everything is all sorted now. We have 20 bikes coming from QLD, looking forward to the weekend.

Just out of interest here is the report by the Pommy gang about their trip to this meeting. They hope to be here next year. Also it cost them about $2500 each for the trip. You must be logged in to see this link.

Good to hear they want to come back.
$2500.00 is a good deal it would cost us in WA that to go to the Island.
