We have been planning things for the past 6 months.
Southern Classic 2005 report 1 / 2 October
SIDECAR PARADE AT SOUTHERN CLASSIC
Robert Todd has suggested we run a lunchtime display may involve a parade of sidecars through the ages, road and racing, and we are looking for ideas.
Perhaps we could get an outfit manfacturer, Bob Martin Engineering or Premier sidecars etc to cover some costs and promote their business.
STATIC DISPLAY
We can have a static display of outfits, contact Vic. Sidecar Club, modern racers[ via WayneBradley] Classic Sidecar register[ Mick Dowling} and also the Yahoo web site for punters.
We could go across the disciplines, Daryl Hiddle, Dirt Track, speedway all could help.
TRADE SHOW
This is an area that needs massive effort, ideas and contacts most welcome.
SWAP MEET
The annual general meeting of the Dirt Track Committee will take place during thier management of the Southern Classic Swap meet. Peter Herd is the contact, stands $10 - 20 entry $2 public free to racers. Profits go to the dirt track arena.
Any person attending the swap meet must pay the normal entry fee to the circuit
SPEEDWAY DISPLAY
If anybody from the speedway wants to get involved please contact us asap
PARADE LAPS
Also I want to put up the idea of a Parade session for all racers on Sunday of the weekend seeing everybody loved the parade at Historic Winton.
CATERING
Discussions with the caterers is continuing to force an vast improvement in the quality and range of food and beverages as requested by riders and public.
PROMOTION
We have taken out 2 adverts in AMTrader, we have free access to the Motorcycle Expo at Jeffs Shed, and the Moto GP will be on prior to our event so we should think about an advert in the programe.
Our promotional tickets are being printed, Dave Dickson is working to change the dates and contact details on the Triumph Man poster.
The club has joined the bigger Goulburn Valley Tourism Board to provide opportunities for local food and produce busines's to come to the community market and help with accommodation.
The Shire of Michell has listed our event as a major festival within the district.
SOUTHERN CLASSIC RALLY
The 3rd rally will be managed and promoted by the MRA, and we will seek additional contact info asap.

The supp regs for this meeting are being printed at this moment and I shall send a copy to this site in a day or so for down loading,

They are in the documents section on this site.

Remember we are encouraging Class C machines and need sidecars |
